At Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm

Laundry Aide

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, and launder linens, towels, and other washable items following hygiene and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines.
  • Ensure proper handling of soiled and clean laundry to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages.
  • Transport clean linens and other items to the appropriate areas within the facility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an 8th-grade education.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to complete tasks.
  • Ability to follow specific laundry handling protocols and operate equipment safely.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and perform tasks involving repetitive motion.
  • Physical stamina to sort, fold, and carry laundry throughout a shift.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain hygiene standards.

Housekeeper

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, following facility guidelines.
  • Empty trash, replenish supplies, and ensure surfaces are free from dust and debris.
  • Perform floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and buffing as needed.
  • Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an 8th-grade education.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to complete tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail while cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and materials is preferred.
