Volunteers Bring Joy to Our Residents

At Oak Hills, our volunteers play a vital role in brightening the lives of our residents. Whether you love singing, reading, sharing stories, helping with activities, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee and good conversation, we’d love to have you join us.

Volunteer Opportunities

Scheduled Opportunities

Monday, 1:00-3:00pm

Help with card club: 500, Sheep Head, Rummy, King’s Corner

Tuesday & Friday, 1:30-3:30PM

Bingo: help transport to and from, assist during the game

Thursday, 4:00-5:30PM

Crafts: assist with craft projects

Friday, 3:00-4:15pm

Social Hour: help serve, visit, clean up, and help take residents back to their rooms after

Saturday, 1:30-3:30PM

Various large group activities: assist with transporting and helping

Sunday, 6:00-8:00PM

Bingo: help transport to and from, assist during the game

Additional Volunteer Activities

  • Assist with outings
  • Escort to doctor appointments
  • Read to residents
  • Cribbage players to play cribbage with residents, run a cribbage group
  • Baking, assist residents with baking projects
  • Outdoors — when scheduled on calendar and as able, helping to bring residents out to courtyard to enjoy the gardens
  • Painting nails — help the residents look their best!
