Our dietetic intern, Lili Mohror hosted a herb planting activity in our courtyard this morning! She presented information about different herbs including their health benefits. The residents got to smell samples of parsley, basil, and mint. As well as have a chance to plant their own herb seeds to keep in their room and care for. Her family hosted bingo with hand made 4th of July cards, complete with different amounts of money in them, hosted social hour with root beer floats, and then performed patriotic songs and some Christmas in July songs! We had the Schroeder family bring in their calf Vegas this morning! The whole family helps with this and presents information about their farm, the calves, preparing to show the animals, 4H projects, and more. Thank you Michelle, Jason, Alex, Aiden, and April!!! We celebrated dairy month with samples of flavored milks. I think peach or strawberry banana were the favorites! #oakhillsfamily #makingadifference
