COVID-19 Update

We completed testing on all staff on Friday, November 20th.  We received those results on Sunday night and we had two staff test positive.  We completed testing on several residents that were showing signs and symptoms, which four of the residents tested positive.  These residents all resided on the same household.  Those residents have been moved to our Covid unit.

We currently have 12 residents on our Covid Unit.  We continue to monitor the residents that are on the Covid unit carefully and we have been able to move some residents back to their households.  If we are unable to care for a resident due to needing more aggressive care, our protocol is to transfer them to the hospital unless they are DNR, then we take all measures to keep the resident comfortable.

The staff that have tested positive are quarantined at home for 10 days and until they are symptom free for 24 hours.  All residents and staff that have tested positive have been on the nursing home side. We are happy to report that we have not had any positive cases on our assisted living side.
