Season of gratitude

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  We continue to acknowledge our season of gratitude.  We have had a busy and fun-filled holiday season!  One of the things that stands out to me, is with all the events going on, the thing that makes it special is the people.  From our dedicated volunteers to people coming in/bringing things in from our supportive community to the residents, their families, and our staff – it is the people that make the difference.  Sharing this time together, doing things for each other, loving and laughing together, and bringing such joy during this time of year makes us proud to be the Oak Hills family that we are.  I am blessed to work in a place where people love and laugh together, and everyday make a difference in so many peoples’ lives.  As I send out this thank you, which is a very small gesture compared to all of those who give to us, I reflect on the reason for the season.

‘There’s something about Christmas time
Something about Christmas time
That makes you wish it was Christmas everyday
To see the joy in the children’s eyes
The way that the old folks smile
Says that Christmas will never go away’
From all of us at Oak Hills, ‘We wish you a very Merry Christmas’.
