One of the things that stands out to me, is how many people that I know and within our community that have hidden talents and hobbies. We are blessed with a community of caring people that are willing to come in and share their talents and hobbies. December was a great example of the different groups that came in to share their talents from candy making to caroling to ornament making, it was fun to see it all. January is sometimes considered a quiet month; the holidays are over, the winter cold has set in, and it can seem like we don’t have as much going on. However from the looks of our activity calendar I don’t think that is true! We have Larry Mages, Pam Anderson, Ray Berg, Tom & Aggie, Benny Seifert, Robbi Koons, Brent & Wendy Lang, Cindee & Lyndsey, and Bob Eveslage all sharing their musical talents with us. Denny Warta came in to lead our men’s group with a historical presentation, Mary Thom presented Ephipany stories, JoAnn Huss is demonstrating wool spinning, and Pegeen Rozitke is demonstrating shoe making, a resident is presenting a program on angels, the Eagles 4 preschoolers shared crafts and songs with us, and the activity staff will be hosting a luau at the end of the month. The diversity of these programs enriches our days and reminds us that we are never too old to learn something new!
