We have been informed that 3 of our staff members and 1 resident has tested positive for COVID-19 from testing this week. We have moved the resident to our Covid unit where they will be quarantined. The staff that tested positive are in quarantine at home. Those that had contact with these individuals have been informed of the exposure.
We are working in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health to ensure we are taking all appropriate steps. In addition, we are following all recommended guidance from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention to protect our residents and staff from this virus and will continue to take every action possible to prevent it from spreading in our setting.
Due to the increase in the number of positive cases that we are seeing within our facility and the positivity rate in Brown County, we have made the decision to suspend Essential Caregiver visits at this time. We want to ensure we are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of Covid in our facility. If you have an Essential Caregiver visit scheduled, you will be receiving a call from one of our staff.
