Oak Hills is doing everything we can to stop the spread of COVID-19 within our building. We have initiated aggressive proactive infection control measures and screening procedures to prevent COVID-19 from entering our building. We are monitoring and screening all of our residents for symptoms, are practicing social distancing and have cancelled all group activities. We continue to screen all staff prior to beginning work. Staff are not allowed to enter the facility if they are ill. Any staff who exhibit symptoms are instructed to self-quarantine at home. We are following all recommended guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the use of personal protective equipment, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, as well as restricting visitor access to our building. We are working closely with New Ulm Medical Center to facilitate continued medical care for our residents by implementing telehealth visits. Our dedicated professional caregivers are working tirelessly to prevent serious illnesses and provide compassionate care. While we all “Shelter in Place” Oak Hills is committed to providing safe, comfortable and compassionate care to our residents today and in the days ahead.
