We like to have fun on special days and Holidays here at Oak Hills, and Halloween is no exception. Everyone gets in on the fun. We have a costume contest, and staff, residents, and even some family members dress up. The contest is judged by the residents who get to view all the cool and crazy costumes during the costume parade and then make their selection by clapping the loudest for the winner. We have a mummy wrapping contest that 4 staff members and two residents compete against each other to see who can wrap the resident up with rolls of toilet paper the fastest. We also have lots of children that come to visit us in their costumes. Our residents love to hand out candy and see the kids. We will have residents handing out candy from 3:15-5:00 in our chapel area. If we have visitors before or after that there will be candy on the households for residents to hand out during the day and evening. There is a festive atmosphere around the building with anticipation of seeing everyone’s creative costumes and lots of smiles. Everyone is welcome to join us. We hope to see you on Halloween!
